1to1’s Physiotherapists can assist with improving functional independence, gross motor development, prevention and management of pain, prevention of physical impairments and disabilities and in general promote fitness, health and wellness.

1to1’s Physiotherapists offer assessment and intervention for physical disabilities, dysfunction, injury and pain to enhance physical function, activity participation, endurance and independence.

Our Physiotherapists treat clients of all ages: infants, children, adults and seniors.

1to1 has experience providing physical therapy in homes, community, schools and facilities with Ministry of Health and Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services.

What is a Physiotherapist?

1to1’s Physiotherapists are Regulated Health Professionals with a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy. They are members of the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario (COPO).

Trained in identifying and addressing issues that interfere with a patient’s ability to move independently and functionally.

Trained to complete both standardized and informal assessments in a variety of are as including gross motor development, posture, movement, strength, endurance, balance or coordination deficits whether the cause is orthopedic, neurological, cardiovascular, pulmonary or even unknown.
Trained and experienced in prescribing adaptive/assistive equipment.

Trained to develop and deliver evidence-based intervention plans through direct intervention and consultation with family, professionals and interdisciplinary team members.

What is a Physiotherapy Assistant?

1to1’s Physiotherapy Assistants are trained health professionals with diploma certificates as Physiotherapy Assistants. Our Rehab Assistants have community experience and therapy skills working under supervised practice with registered Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists. Rehab Assistants help with implementation of exercises and activities to support ongoing care plans.
